The Work of Your Hands

The Work of Your Hands

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23

If you find yourself labouring under someone else's leadership, longing for promotion, better pay, or more fulfilling work—pause. Before you ask for more, bless what you already have. Gratitude is the soil where increase takes root.

Bless the work of your hands, even if it feels small or unseen. Thank God for every task that teaches you patience, every duty that sharpens your skill, and every moment that allows you to serve. Your current assignment is not a prison—it’s a platform. Honour it.

Bless the money you earn, no matter how modest. Let your gratitude be so deep that you joyfully give a small “Thank Offering” to someone in greater need. This act of generosity becomes a prophetic seed—declaring that your hands are not only working, they are giving, and they will be blessed.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the work I have today. I choose to bless it, honor it, and serve with joy. Teach me to see every task as sacred, every paycheck as provision, and every opportunity as preparation. May my gratitude overflow into generosity, and may my hands be faithful until You open the door to more. Amen.
