The Waiting Speaks

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Habakkuk 2:3

There is a sacred ache in waiting. It’s the tension between promise and fulfillment, between what God has spoken and what our eyes have yet to see. Habakkuk 2:3 is not just a verse, it’s a whisper from heaven to every weary heart: Hold on. The vision will speak.

God’s timing is not delayed, it’s deliberate. The “appointed time” is not a vague hope, but a divine certainty. Even when the silence stretches long, even when the vision seems distant, it is not dormant. It is maturing. It is preparing to speak with clarity, truth, and power.

Waiting is not passive. It is the posture of faith. It is the soil where trust grows deep roots. And when the vision finally speaks, it will not stammer or lie, it will roar with the faithfulness of God.

Lord, teach me to wait with holy expectation. Help me trust that Your timing is perfect, even when mine feels urgent. Let my heart rest in the truth that Your promises never fail. May I not rush the process, but embrace the beauty of becoming while I wait. Amen.

I will wait with faith. I will trust the vision. It will speak. It will not lie.

It will come.
