A Wall of Fire, A Heart of Glory
A Wall of Fire, A Heart of Glory
“The Lord will be a wall of fire around you, and I will be the glory within.” — Zechariah 2:5
There are days when the world feels too loud, too sharp—when threats loom not just from the outside, but from within: doubt, fear, weariness. In Zechariah’s vision, God speaks not only of protection, but of presence. A wall of fire is not passive—it blazes, it consumes, it declares: “This one is Mine.”
But He doesn’t stop at the perimeter. He says, “I will be the glory within.” That means the radiance of God doesn’t just shield you—it fills you. His glory becomes your identity, your strength, your song. You are not merely defended; you are indwelt.
This promise is for the city of Jerusalem, yes—but it echoes into every heart that belongs to Him. You are surrounded by fire, and filled with glory. Not because of your striving, but because of His choosing.
Lord, be my wall of fire—burn away what threatens, and blaze with holy love around me. Be the glory within—fill me with Your presence, Your peace, Your power. Let me live as one marked by Your flame and Your favour. Amen.
