Give Diligence!
π₯ With
All Diligence
“Giving all
diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to
knowledge, self-control…” — 2 Peter 1:5–6 (KJV)
Faith is the foundation—but it
is not the finish line. The Christian life is a journey of growth, and Peter
urges us to pursue it with all diligence. This is not a passive walk,
but an intentional climb toward Christlikeness.
To enjoy the fullness of faith
and the assurance that comes with it, we must build upon our belief with
spiritual discipline and divine dependence.
𧱠Build
Upon Your Faith
- Virtue: Let your faith be marked by moral courage. Ask God to give you
the heart of a lion—to stand boldly for what is right, even when it costs.
- Knowledge: Don’t settle for surface understanding. Dig deep into Scripture.
Let the Word of God dwell in you richly, shaping your thoughts, your
choices, and your confidence.
- Self-Control: As you grow in knowledge, let it lead to discipline—a life
governed not by impulse, but by the Spirit.
Each layer strengthens the
next. And each step taken in diligence brings you closer to the fullness of
Christ’s character.
π Faith
That Depends on Christ Alone
Make sure your faith is not
just belief in doctrine, but a living trust in Jesus Himself. True faith clings
to Christ—not to performance, not to knowledge alone, but to the person of the
Savior.
Let your pursuit of growth be
Spirit-led, not self-driven. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower your diligence and
deepen your understanding.
π A
Prayer for Today
Lord, help me to grow in
faith—not just in belief, but in character.
Give me courage to stand for truth, and a hunger to know Your Word.
Let my faith be rooted in Christ alone, and let my life reflect the beauty of
Your holiness.
With all diligence, I seek to grow.
Amen.
May your faith be more than a
beginning—may it be a journey of transformation, built with diligence and
crowned with grace.
